Korean Dessert

My TOP 3 Korean Dessert.

Korean cuisine known today has evolved through centuries of social and political change. Originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions in southern Manchuria and the Korean peninsula, Korean cuisine has evolved through a complex interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends.

This Korean Dessert will definitely come in handy for satisfying your unyielding sweet tooth!

Bungeoppang

Bungeoppangs are prepared using an appliance similar to a waffle iron. The batter is poured into a fish-shaped mold, red bean paste is added, then more batter to encase the red bean paste. The mold is then closed, and roasted.

In Korean, bung'eo means Carassius, a kind of fish, and ppang means bread. This name simply comes from the fish-like shape and appearance of the pastry, and it does not contain any ingredients from its namesake fish or any other fish.

Chapssaltteok

Chapssaltteok also sometimes romanized as "Chapssalddeok" or "Chapssaldduk" is a Korean dessert that consists of rice cakes filled with sweet bean paste. The cakes themselves are made from either pounded rice , pounded glutinous rice , or glutinous rice left whole, without pounding. It is a variant of tteok and is similar to Japanese mochi.

Hotteok

Hotteok is a variety of filled Korean pancake, and is a popular street food of Korea. It is usually eaten during the winter season.
